These goals involve increasing Tesla’s market value from $1.5 trillion to $8.5 trillion, surpassing companies such as Nvidia and Amazon, along with meeting specific performance and product-related targets.

Musk’s path to securing that staggering financial reward has begun with difficulties, and the chairman’s connections to Trump appear to be a contributing factor, The Washington Post.reportedon Wednesday. Tesla’s reported earnings dropped by 46% in Q4 2025 when compared to the previous year. The company also lost its position as the top electric vehicle manufacturer.
