Pakistan, January 29 — Two Commodores from the Pakistan Navy, Javed Zia and Armaghan Ahmad, have been elevated to the position of Rear Admiral.
Rear Admiral Javed Zia joined the Weapon Engineering Branch of the Pakistan Navy in 1994. The Flag Officer has completed his education from the Pakistan Navy War College in Lahore, the National Defence University in Islamabad, and holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), according to a press statement released by the Directorate General Public Relations (Pak Navy).
Throughout his distinguished naval career, the officer has held several important positions. At present, the admiral is serving as Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Materiel) at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad.
Rear Admiral Armaghan Ahmad joined the Marine Engineering Branch of the Pakistan Navy in 1994. The Flag Officer holds a degree from the Pakistan Navy War College in Lahore and the National Defence University in Islamabad.
He earned his Master of Science in Manufacturing System Engineering & Management from NUST. The officer has a distinguished career with extensive experience in important roles. He is currently working as Managing Director at Dockyard (Karachi). In acknowledgment of their outstanding services, the Flag Officers have been presented with the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) award.
