Jason Thompson, a delivery worker at the Fairfield Post Office, states he was suspended without compensation or justification on Monday after sharing an online post that went viral, in which he discussed how he and his coworkers feel endangered by their employer without any valid cause.

“Currently, the United States Postal Service is functioning in highly severe and hazardous weather conditions, placing our delivery personnel in an unsafe and intolerable risk,” stated Thompson.

Thompson departed early to reach his job after a dangerous storm affected the Greater Cincinnati region on January 24 and 25, discovering that the mail truck parking area had been inadequately cleared, with vehicles buried under ‘two to three feet of snow’.

The delivery person mentioned that they were required to excavate their vehicles from the heavy snow and would need to take annual or sick leave if they wished to leave early.
