Three flight attendants were reportedly taken to the hospital following their consumption of marijuana-infused candies provided by a passenger.

The British AirwaysCrew members reportedly experienced ‘out-of-body sensations’ after accidentally ingesting the marijuana-infused gummies.

Fortunately, they only began consuming the edibles, which had as much as 300mg of THC, the mind-altering substance in marijuana, after the flight from Heathrow arrived in Los Angeles last week.

A completely new team was arranged for the return journey, while the impacted crew members were transported back on a different flight several days later as passengers.

A probe has been initiated by British Airways to identify the passenger who provided the crew member with marijuana snacks.

“It’s a blessing in this situation that the treats in question weren’t distributed among the crew until they reached the US,” one source said. The Sun.

They were eaten by the crew bus following landing, and exhausted employees eagerly devoured them. Soon after, BA staff noticed something was amiss.

By the time the group arrived at the crew hotel, three employees who had consumed a lot of candy started experiencing “out-of-body” sensations. They felt completely powerless and became anxious and frightened.

The source mentioned that they were hospitalized for care following an escalation in their symptoms.

It is being taken “very seriously” by British Airways, according to the source, who added that the passenger who distributed the cannabis-infused candies “may be charged with several offenses.”

A representative from British Airways stated: “A limited number of our staff experienced discomfort at their hotel and have since regained their health.”

We dispatched a new team to manage the return journey, and our customers were not affected.
