Vladislav Liukov, also known as Yaytseslav Truhov, has been in the spotlight for the last two weeks due to secretly recording women with AI Meta glasses and sharing the footage online.

From Ghana to Kenya, women who had contact with the Russian man found themselves feeling ashamed and degraded when he released their videos. Some chose to come forward, denying any romantic relationship with him, and described their experiences after going to his apartment.
Following public backlash, the Ghanaian government is attempting toKeep the Russian national responsiblefor sharing private videos of several women who were deported back to the country and faced legal charges.
In Kenya, the DCI initiated an investigation into a widely discussed scandal involving a Russian individual and unsuspecting Kenyan women, including some who are married.

The DCI also warned against the public redistributing the videos.
Did Yatseslav break up marriages or did he expose them?
A Russian individual has sparked conversations on social media, as people exchange their views, and a relationship specialist has offered his perspective on the current issue.
Allan Lawrence stated that the matter is not related to the Russian individual, but rather to susceptibility.
“Did he ruin relationships or did he reveal cracks that were already present? As a society, we need to be grown-up enough to distinguish the messenger from the reflection. If someone cheats ‘so readily,’ this is seldom their first ethical dilemma. Such impulsiveness doesn’t appear suddenly. It develops subtly through minor concessions. In psychological terms, behavior in the face of opportunity shows inner structure. Character isn’t challenged when there’s scarcity. It’s tested when there’s plenty. The problem isn’t with the outsider. The problem is weakness,” he said.
Lawrence stated that the women’s behavior during their interaction with the Russian man might have been influenced by various reasons, advising the public not to make judgments about them.
“When an individual can track a stranger back to their home in a short time, it reveals more than just a scandal. It indicates emotional void, financial hardship. Lack of self-esteem, a twisted perception of worth, and in certain instances, an addiction to approval,” he explained.
A relationship specialist stated that no marriage ends due to a camera, but rather because of issues that were already present before the lens was involved.
Why would a married woman jeopardize her safety and reputation for what seems like a quick gain? Why does the risk seem less significant than the consequences? The reason isn’t solely financial hardship. It’s a lack of self-worth. When value is tied to outside approval or foreign money, judgment becomes weak. Greed is seldom just about money. It often relates to feeling selected, wanted, or elevated. And when self-esteem is shaky, attention can appear as an opportunity. We are likely to encounter them again. Not because outsiders are searching for them, but because vulnerability is noticeable,” he said.
Lawrence stated that this discussion should not turn into a gender conflict but should instead lead to societal self-reflection.
“Marriage is never ruined by people from outside. It is undermined by internal carelessness well before external influences come into play. The Russian man didn’t create temptation. He took advantage of it. If we only react with anger, we overlook the lesson. If we respond with thoughtful consideration, we develop. Scandal reveals the truth, while wisdom helps to restore what was broken,” he stated.
