AFC/M23 military spokesperson Lt Col Willy Ngoma was killed in a drone strike by the Congolese army coalition on Tuesday, February 24, as reported by sources. Information regarding the attack surfaced a few hours after rebel spokesperson Lawrence Kanyuka shared on X that Kinshasa had once again breached the ceasefire and “initiated a full-scale war across all front lines.” Kanyuka stated that on Tuesday, at exactly 07:00, government coalition forces “launched brutal and intentional attacks on densely populated areas” in Kitendebwa, Kashihe, and Kiduveri, within the Kalehe region.
