BBCAudience members are ‘completely hooked’ on an ‘outstanding’ new family drama, having ‘watched all episodes in one day’ since its release on iPlayer this month.
The Walsh Sisters, which is based on theMarian Keyesnovel of the same title, debuted on the Irish television channel RTÉ One in September of last year.
The humorous drama portrays the lives of sisters Anna (Louisa Harland), Rachel (Caroline Menton), Maggie (Stefanie Preissner), Claire (Danielle Galligan), and Helen (Máiréad Tyers) residing in Dublin.
“They don’t always see eye to eye, but they always stand by one another,” states the iPlayer summary.
Five Irish sisters deal with heartache, conflicts, and lively turmoil – based on Marian Keyes’s popular novels.
Louisa, Caroline, Stefanie, Danielle, and Máiréad are joined by Carrie Crowley, Jay Duffy, Samuel Anderson, Aidan Quinn, Debi Mazar, and Gina Moxley on the program.

Even though the series arrived in Ireland last year, it has only recently been made accessible on the Beeb’s online platform starting February 21.
And individuals who have viewed it have already posted their enthusiastic feedback on the internet.

They’re all available on the iPlayer, so you have plenty of time to get caught up! I watched the entire series over the weekend and [love] it!
I’m on episode 4 and can’t stop watching!!
Saw the entire series today, really enjoy it.
I’ve seen 2 episodes and it’s very good, but I’m not sure about Mammy Walsh. Everyone else looked exactly as I imagined them.

The Daily Mail’s Christopher Stevens gave the series a rating of four stars out of five.
It seems there might be positive developments for enthusiasts and the concept of a second season.
The writer of the book “Marian” has confessed that she hopes to see another one on our screens.
She mentioned: “There’s a scene in Rachel’s Holiday, provided the second series is produced… Daddy Walsh joins a local amateur dramatic group that’s staging Oklahoma, and he thoroughly immerses himself in his role for the rehearsals, speaking with an Oklahoma accent and wearing a cowboy hat.”
I would do anything for it to be created, I would find that extremely amusing.
Stefanie, who portrays Maggie on the series and is also the creator, stated: ‘I’m hoping that by the conclusion of episode six, there’s still more to come, it’s not something we can’t produce.’
All episodes of The Walsh Sisters can be watched on BBC iPlayer.
