After 13 years as the sole IMDb series to achieve a perfect score among millions of television episodes,Breaking BadOzymandias has ironically collapsed from its height.

Ever since season five, episode 14A beloved TV series created by Vince Gilligan debuted in 2013 and has long held a special position at the top of IMDB’s list of rated TV shows. Until now.

In a twist more fitting for 2014 Tumblr (did someone build a time machine?), the praised episode in which Walt Whitman’s empire falls has delivered a fatal blow from theGame of Thrones fandom.

Following a synchronized review-bombing campaign by fantasy enthusiasts, the score has decreased from a flawless 10 to a indifferent 9.5, placing it as the 767th most highly rated episode on the site (as of this writing).

Oh, how the powerful can crumble. (Although season four, episode 13, Face Off, still holds the sixth position with a 9.9 rating, so small victories count!)

I understand what you’re thinking. For any casual fan wondering what’s going on, we’ve got you sorted—get ready.

Why are enthusiasts of Game of Thrones engaging in review-bombing for Breaking Bad?

Last week, the highly praised Game of Thrones prequel series,A Knight from the Seven Kingdomss, released its much-anticipated fifth and penultimate episode, In the Name of the Mother.

As supporters took their seats for the intense Trial of the Seven and the emotionally powerful history of Ser Dunk the Tall (Peter Claffey), the episode provided all that was expected and even more.

This resulted in a short-lived highlight where it was recognized that the episode shared the prestigious top position with Breaking Bad, before it quickly dropped to a 9.9 rating, and then to 9.8.

Now, (after a long scroll through the top 1000), it has reached position 805, also with a 9.5 rating – although at a much lower point on that scale.

It seems from what can be inferred throughRedditthreads and the episode reviews themselves reveal that a review-bombing conflict comparable to the Battle of the Bastards occurred between the two fanbases, leading to mutual destruction.

As the saying goes: “When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no in-between.”

One-star reviews for “In The Name of the Mother” feature user sureshk-9720 stating ‘in the name of Ozymandias’ and another from vgamerrdc commenting ‘leave Breaking Bad alone’, along with another expressing ‘revenge for Breaking Bad’.

You just need to do a basic scroll to see the entire one-star section filled with comparable opinions.

Near Ozymandias land, the destruction is similar.

Because you all keep review bombing the best shows, you deserve this,” user JasperB-501 wrote in a review titled “The Lannisters send their regards.

User f_otis333 mentioned they lowered their rating to one because of [Breaking Bad] fans, stating, “I’m sorry I had to act mean like you, but truly, that’s on you all.”

Even the official HBO Max Nordic InstagramThe account has entered the wacky rivalry, posting a video of the legendary (and previously mentioned) Battle of the Bastards for Game of Thrones enthusiasts and Breaking Bad supporters on both sides.

“The supporters swiftly displayed the banners,” the post stated in the caption.

In the meantime, certain supporters are attempting to restore reason to the discussion.

On Reddit, while talking about how the sword fighting had gotten completely out of hand, user BillyShears2015 said: ‘All regular people watching from the side think it’s very trivial and absurd.’

Taco145 described it as ‘pathetic review bombing drama’ and Paranatural sharply wrote ‘what sad little lives’.

No matter which perspective you take (even if none!), there’s no question that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has left a mark on fans across the globe.

The final episode, which aired on Monday in the UK, has been hailed as the ‘best series of the year’ by many, with the episode titled The Morrow receiving an 8.7 rating on IMDb.

Even if you explore the one-star reviews, you might spot some recognizable names…

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is available for streaming on Sky and Now. Breaking Bad can be streamed onNetflix.
