Tucker Carlsonpreviously had a strong influence over the Trump White House and its leading advisors, such as the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, according to former Fox News and White House sources.
The former Fox Newshost and conservative podcast host – once the leading figure in cable news, attracting more than 4 million viewers each night at its peak – has interviewed and traveled with global leaders.
“Tucker Carlson Tonight” – the host’s former primetime Fox News program that was prominent during Trump’s first term and beyondJoe BidenHis presidency exerted considerable influence within the White House.
When Alyssa Farah Griffin, the former White House communications director, first joined a meeting in the spring of 2020, she seemed unaware of Carlson’s influence.
Griffin, who previously served as a leading figure in the White House, eventually parted ways with the president and has consistently criticized his leadership, a perspective she frequently shares in her role as a co-host on ABC’s ‘The View.’
After acknowledging at the meeting that she had not seen a segment from the previous night’s broadcast, the president’s son-in-law and advisor,Jared Kushner, snapped at her.
“You can’t be part of this White House without watching Tucker Carlson,” he stated.
The disclosures are featured in author Jason Zengerle’s book “Hated By All the Right People: Tucker Carlson and the Unraveling of the Conservative Mind.”

A former Fox News producer claimed in the book: ‘The program was essentially a senior advisor to the president.’
However, during the same time, Trump could not reach Carlson by phone – a frustration for the president.
“Tucker was the attractive girl who didn’t want to sleep with him,” a formerWhite Houseofficially mentioned in the book.
“Trump was like, what do you mean you don’t want to? He was fascinated,” the official said, pointing out that Carlson’s reluctance only made him more attractive to the president.
Carlson has spoken with Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov; El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele, Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian, Hungary’s President Viktor Orban, and other conservative leaders around the world.
After Trump returned to the White House, Carlson has been frequently observed within Trump’s circle.
In reality, the podcaster visited the White House this week, according to Punchbowl News.
Although Kushner is a fan of Carlson, the host wasn’t hesitant to mock the presidential advisor on his program.
“The president’s well-known keen intuition, which helped him secure the presidency nearly four years ago, has been undermined at every level by Jared Kushner,” the right-wing commentator stated later in June 2020.
“Nobody holds a greater disdain” for Trump’s plan, Carlson added.
The host continues to wield significant power as well. His podcast consistently ranks among the highest on Spotify and other music streaming services.
