Hotel Shilla’s President Lee Boo-jin was present at her son’s graduation ceremony from Seoul National University, and her style captured at the event is also generating interest.
President Lee participated in the entrance ceremony for the 2026 academic year at Seoul National University in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, on the 26th, to commemorate the start of her eldest son, Lim Dong-hyun, in his studies. Notably, her presence, characterized by a “mom smile” and a cheerful demeanor while being with Lim, attracted significant attention.

As per the fashion industry, the jacket worn by President Lee on that day is believed to be from the French luxury brand Dior. The “Belted Jacket with Removable Scarf,” which features a scarf, is part of Dior’s 2025 Cruise Collection and is not available on the official domestic website. It is reportedly sold for around 8,500,000 South Korean won on international online platforms.
The bag seems to be a Hermès Birkin. The Birkin is a signature item from Hermès, which was developed as a result of a partnership between singer and actress Jane Birkin and Jean-Louis Dumas, the CEO of Hermès, who happened to meet on an airplane in 1984. Additionally, it has been noted that it embodies the “old money look,” focusing on subtle elegance rather than visible brand logos.
Lim’s clothing also attracted notice. The shoes he was wearing are believed to be Alexander McQueen white sneakers priced around 1.3 million South Korean won, similar to those seen at the Whimoon High School graduation event.
The recurring occurrence of President Lee’s attire and accessories becoming conversation starters during official events has been observed. There have been instances where sales rose or products sold out once the associated items were recognized.
Previously, President Lee made an appearance in a full-black ensemble, referred to as “all black,” from head to toe at her son’s high school graduation. The outerwear seemed to be a long, tailored coat from the French luxury label Lanvin, distinguished by a design that includes a leather strap around the waist. The bag she was carrying is the “Numéro Un” black tote from the French brand Poldine, which has a traditional style crafted from calf leather. This item is available on the official website within the price range of 700,000 Korean won.
At the Doo-eul Scholarship Foundation scholarship certificate ceremony, she made an appearance in a ‘High-Neck Wool One-Piece’ from the local designer brand DEANT, which attracted attention. The cost of this item is reported to be around 170,000 South Korean won. President Lee also wore a two-piece set from the same brand during the same event in 2024, and the ‘Nento Slim Jacket Skirt Two-Piece’ she wore then is known to be priced at approximately 119,700 South Korean won.
