Less than a month left until the beginning of theCAF Futsal Africa Nations Cup, the Confederation of African Footballhas not yet revealed important information regarding the upcoming competition set to occur inMorocco.
To date, CAF has not revealed the date for the official draw or the seeding positions of the competing national teams, causing fans and teams to await more details before the event scheduled for April.
This version of the competition will also see the introduction of a new structure endorsed by CAF, where the futsal Africa Cup of Nations will take place every two years rather than every four. The adjustment aims to promote the sport and enhance rivalry throughout the continent.
Morocco arrives at the tournament with a solid history in the event.
The nation has previously organized two versions of the continental tournament, each triumphed by the national squad, referred to as theMorocco national futsal team.
The latest victory occurred during the2020 African Futsal Nations Cup in Laayoune, where Morocco won the championship with a strong 5–0 win againstEgypt national futsal team in the final.
