A local court on Tuesday called upon prosecution witnesses in a case involving the alleged sharing of a fabricated video of Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari on social media. Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo presided over the hearing. During the session, the accused Falak Javed was brought to the court from prison, and his presence was recorded.
The court instructed the prosecution to bring its witnesses to the next hearing in order to document their testimonies. The session was postponed until March 24. The case was filed by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency involving Falak Javed and other individuals.
Previously, the court had denied a proposal to capture Azma Bokhari’s testimony via a video connection. The provincial minister has disputed this ruling in front of the Sessions Court.
