Iran may strike American major technology companies as hostilities with the United States grow, reported the Iranian news outlet Tasnim, which is connected to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The news organization posted on XThe assets of companies including Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Oracle, NVIDIA, IBM, and Palantir in approximately 30 locations across the Middle East are being considered as Iran’s “new targets in the region.” The statement indicated that these sites have been classified as “enemy technology infrastructure.”

Several sites mentioned by Tasnim are located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and in Tel Aviv, Israel. In Tel Aviv, the list features the headquarters of the defense technology firm Palantir, as well as branches of Amazon and Microsoft, alongside Nvidia’s engineering and development center.

As per the list, the majority of locations were chosen because of their participation in creating artificial intelligence (AI) systems or their role in managing cloud computing services throughout the Middle East.

Subsequently, reached out to Microsoft, Nvidia, Amazon, Google, Oracle, IBM, and Palantir but did not get immediate replies.

Two of Amazon’s data centers in the UAE, which is also a target on the list, were affected on March 1. A third data center in Bahrain was damaged due to debris falling from another attack location.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had previously taken credit for the attacks, stating to state media that the operations were intended to uncover the role of these facilities in aiding the enemy’s military and intelligence efforts.

Targets chosen because of military connections

Four locations of Oracle, IBM, and Google in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Abu Dhabi were specifically mentioned as they are accused of offering support to “military organizations,” according to the statement.

Amazon and Alphabet, the parent company of Google, were awardeda $1.2 billion (€1 billion) agreement in 2021 with the Israeli government to develop Project Nimbus, which supplied Israel with “essential technological infrastructure,” as stated in a 2025 report reportfrom UN rapporteur Francesca Albanese on the status of human rights in occupied Palestine.

These firms along with Microsoft provide Israel with “near-government-wide access to their cloud and artificial intelligence technologies,” according to Albanese’s report.

The report further states that IBM has educated Israeli military and intelligence staff, and there is “sufficient basis” to assume that Palantir supplied automated predictive policing technology to the Israeli government for analyzing data and creating lists of targets in Palestine.

Oracle was not referenced in Albanese’s report. Nevertheless, the media research organization The Middle East Monitor reportedThat company executives sought to integrate a “love for Israel” into American culture.

The US War Department has also recently awardedthe firm secured an $88 million (€74.4 million) agreement to integrateIt is cloud computing software used by the US Air Force.
