Aston Villa have received a warning that head coach Unai Emery and leading player Morgan Rogers “will leave” this summer under certain circumstances.

VillaThe team’s season is in danger of ending without a strong finish as their chances in the Champions League are diminishing because of a drop in performance.

Injuries and weak signing appear to have finally taken their tollEmery‘on their side, who have moved from being unexpected Premier League title challengers to a possible position below fifth.

After Sunday’s 3-1 defeat by third-placed Manchester United,Aston Villa are in fourth place, just two points behind Liverpool, whereas Chelsea are another point back in sixth position.

Villa might also secure a spot in the Champions League by winning the Europa League, but Alex Crook, a transfer correspondent from talkSPORT, has criticized their recent dealings in the market.

“I feel somewhat for Unai Emery, as this time last year during the January transfer window, you signed players such as Marcus Rashford and Marcus Asensio,” Crook mentioned while speaking to former Villa star Agbonlahor on talkSPORT.

You definitely gave it your all in the attempt to secure a spot in the Champions League – obviously it didn’t pan out.

This year, I must admit I was disappointed with your performance.

Douglas Luiz [who came on loan] – I am aware he is familiar with the football club, but Nottingham Forest wasn’t interested in him, and neither was Juventus.

You need to question why [they signed] Tammy Abraham – playing in Turkey once more, which isn’t the kind of signing that excites me.

Crook has also proposed that Emery might depart from Villa if they do not achieve qualification for the Champions League this season.

I believe Unai Emery is somewhat restricted in his actions and it makes you question whether he will depart by the end of the season.

Agbonlahor then quickly added: “He’ll be leaving, mate.”

And Crook has also noted that England international Rogers is expected to join Emery in departing Villa due to the absence of Champions League football.

Crook said to Agbonlahor: “If you don’t secure Champions League football, it’s not just him.”

I am aware that Morgan Rogers has signed the new contract. I’m investigating to see if there’s a release clause included, as he is likely to attract interest from other clubs.

In response to Crook, Agbonlahor stated: “[I agree] 100%, and you know Morgan Rogers is set for an outstanding World Cup as well.”

If Aston Villa somehow misses out on Champions League qualification, I believe the manager will be replaced, Morgan Rogers will be sold, and Aston Villa might end up as a mid-table team, similar to Fulham.

I genuinely believe it’s that significant. If they manage to secure Champions League football and the manager remains, the next four or five years could appear very successful for Aston Villa. That’s how crucial it is.
