A helicopter has crashed in Tema Community One, Site 18, resulting in the death of both crew members aboard.
The plane is said to have crashed at Oniku Drive School Park, close to the central business area of Tema. Emergency personnel, including the Ghana National Fire Service, are on site carrying out recovery efforts.
As stated by DO2 Ebenezer Yenzu from the Tema Regional Fire Service, groups are striving to retrieve the remains and safeguard the location as inquiries into the reason for the accident proceed.
Local residents in the vicinity mentioned they heard a powerful explosion and observed smoke right after the incident, leading to an immediate emergency reaction.
Ahmed Abdullia, the representative for the Kwesi Plange Electoral Area, stated that all the students emerged from the incident without any injuries.
