A source identified by Drop Site News as a “senior Iranian official” shared that Witkoff had, on several occasions, tried to revive peace discussions with Tehran in the past week. The official, who spoke to Drop Site News under the condition of anonymity, stated, “Iran has once more shut the door on any direct talks.”
Araghchi has citedtwo previous cases in which they were caught off guard during discussions by either the United States or Israel as justification for declining to resume conversations. Iran faced an attack last summeramid negotiationsauthorized by the United States, and once more towards the end of last month by both the United States and Israel following Trump’s initial approval of Operation Epic Fury.
When questioned about the claim that Witkoff has been sending messages to Iranian officials, a White House representative reacted strongly to Drop Site News, labeling the publication “disgusting.”
“The radical, left-wing Drop Site News is evidently supporting the Iranian terrorist regime – and reports such as these, which are based on pure fiction and reference unnamed sources, should be rejected right away,” said the White House spokesperson to Drop Site News.
Iran supports this false news media organization with propaganda, and they present it as truth, which is disgusting, America First conduct. Operation Epic Fury will proceed without interruption until President Trump, as the Commander-in-Chief, decides that the objectives of Operation Epic Fury, including ensuring Iran no longer represents a military threat, have been completely achieved.
