A man and two women have been taken into custody after a fatal car accident in West Yorkshire, which resulted in the deaths of three young men and left their friend in critical condition.
Corey Graham and Thomas Reilly, aged 22, along with 21-year-old Cass Bryant, have been identified as the victims of the fatal collision in Illingworth, Halifax.
Emergency responders arrived at Keighley Road, near the intersection with Cobblestones Drive, at 6:50 PM on Wednesday evening.
The group was riding in a white Ford Fiesta with a 21-year-old friend known locally as Spencer Elliott-Delaney, who suffered critical injuries in the accident and is currently battling for his life in the hospital.
West Yorkshire Policementioned that the accident also included a BMW and a parked, empty Renault Clio.
Three people in a blue BMW hatchback — a 37-year-old man and two women, 18 and 32 years old, all from Halifax — have been taken into custody on suspicion of causing death through reckless driving.
Pictures revealed the road blocked off by emergency personnel as firefighters and paramedics arrived at the location.
Messages of remembrance for the deceased have been shared on social media by friends and local sports organizations.

Local amateur rugby league teams, including the Boothtown Terriers where Mr. Graham once played, expressed that they were “devastated,” while his previous team Siddal stated they were “deeply saddened” and that he had “left too soon.”
The local football team Crossley AFC stated that Mr. Bryant was #one of the most talented players on their squad, noting: ‘If he wasn’t playing, he was enjoying his best life overseas.’
It also commended Mr. Graham and Mr. Reilly as “leading advocates.”
No language can fully capture the sorrow experienced within our community,’ it stated regarding the three individuals. ‘They will forever be remembered, and their absence will be deeply felt by many.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Spencer and his family, who is currently in the hospital. Keep up the fight, young man.
Mr. Bryant’s companion, in a public social media update, referred to him and his friends as “the best group of lads,” and stated, “I love each of you very much.”
In her own post, Mr. Reilly’s sister wrote: ‘The most beautiful boy, both inside and out, my best friend, my little brother… Thomas, I love you forever and always.’
Other companions offered equally emotional condolences.
One friend said, ‘I still can’t believe I’ll never see or talk to you guys again.’
Truly, they were the best group of friends I’ll ever have. Everything we did, we did together; we were inseparable.
“Rest in eternal peace, guys,” said another friend on social media.
I can’t even start to picture the suffering that each and every one of your families is experiencing during this tough period.
Detective Sergeant Paul Lightowler from West Yorkshire Police’s Major Collision Enquiry Team stated: ‘Our thoughts are with the family and friends of those who lost their lives. Officers who have received special training will be assisting the affected families.’
This is a sorrowful event, with thorough investigations being conducted at the location this morning.
I would like to reach out to anyone who was in the area last evening and might have seen the accident to come forward.
We are also interested in viewing any dash-cam footage of the vehicles before the accident.
