Everton achieved a confident 3-0 win against Chelsea, damaging the Blues’ chances in the Champions League and greatly enhancing their own European ambitions.

The Toffees have moved to eighth place, while Liverpool’s loss has left Liam Rosenior’s team one point behind in sixth.

Leeds and Brentford ended the day with a 0-0 draw at Elland Road.

On Sunday, the highlight match of the weekend lived up to expectations. Newcastle went ahead against their local rivals Sunderland thanks to Anthony Gordon, but Chemsdine Talbi equalized just three minutes before the hour.

Brian Brobbey appeared in the 90th minute to secure the win, causing a frenzy among the few visiting fans at St James’ Park.

Aston Villa recovered from three straight losses to achieve a 2-0 victory against West Ham, sending Nuno Espirito Santo’s team deeper into the relegation zone.

Nottingham Forest scored three goals against Tottenham in a thrilling match at the bottom of the table, leaving Spurs just one point ahead of the Hammers in the relegation zone and interim manager Igor Tudor facing a critical situation.
