Michael Sheenis reported to have enrolled in the upcoming Celebrity Traitors, having previously excelled at portraying ‘a series of deceitful and manipulative’ characters.

The 57-year-old Welsh actor played the role of former Prince Andrew in the 2024 Amazon Prime Video series “A Very Royal Scandal,” which consists of three parts.

There’s no question that Celebrity Traitors will be easy for Michael, thanks to his reliable acting abilities.

A source told The SunMichael has had plenty of experience portraying deceitful, treacherous, and manipulative characters –the Traitors should be a breeze.

He is widely regarded as a ‘big name” addition. Behind the scenes, everyone is extremely enthusiastic. Michael is a huge fan of the series, so it’s perfectly logical that he would want to be involved.

This year’s performance features some amazing talents, a genuine mix of personalities, and is set to be remarkable.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Michael’s agents and the BBC for their response.

Host Claudia Winkleman announced on Thursday that the cast for Celebrity Traitors season two is confirmed – and she was shocked when she saw the list of names.

The BBCA star-studded spin-off premiered in late 2025, featuring a comedianAlan Carr winning as a Traitor.

On Wednesday, March 25, Claudia made an appearance on The One Show to promote her newly released BBC talk program.

She was questioned about whether additional ‘big names’ are planned for Celebrity Traitors, after the prominent figures from season one.

Claudia responded: “There certainly are.”

The individuals involved are exceptional, and they had to say it again to me because I was thinking, ‘Wait, are you serious? Say that again.’ So, we’re truly fortunate.

Throughout the discussion, Claudia inquired if well-known personalities were waiting to enter the castle — following the popularity of the first Celebrity Traitors.

She remarked, “Yes, I hope that’s the case. We are very thankful that people are eager to join and play the game.”

And those who agreed to be part of series one, I still can’t wrap my head around it. I was trembling when I saw Stephen Fry roaming the castle along with Alan Carr, Ruth Codd, and all the others I was really into.

I’m really thrilled. However, I can’t reveal anything more, so please don’t look me in the eye.

Before the official list is announced, a number of names have been associated with participating in the new season.

The Sunday Mail disclosedaward-winning actor Stephen Graham is under consideration by BBC executives as a potential entrant into the castle.

A source stated, “They are extremely eager to secure Stephen for the program. He would be their top attraction.”

He is among the most powerful actors of this era, and the country loves him, yet no one truly understands his personality, leading to a clear desire from audiences to witness him in a more authentic environment.

A 52-year-old achieved international acclaim last year following the creation and performance in Adolescence – a drama that sparked extensive discussion about online sexism, incel movements, and the ‘manosphere’.

Back in January, it was disclosed that actor Danny Dyer was reportedlyscheduled to be featured in Celebrity Traitors season two.

The former EastEndersactor, 48, showed ‘no interest’ in the show prior to“revising his approach” after witnessing the likes of eventual champion Alan Carr captivate the country.

A source said: ‘Danny was consistently at the top of The Celebrity Traitors’ list but showed no interest until he witnessed the enjoyment and excitement from the previous autumn. As soon as his perspective shifted, everything was set in motion.

‘Danny is a reality TVBooker’s dream signing will offer exceptional value, as he is inherently humorous but in a completely distinct manner compared to Alan Carr.

Richard E. Grant, Hugh Bonneville, Angela Scanlon, Joanne McNally, David Mitchell, Steve Pemberton and Liam Gallagherhave also all been associated with the series.

Nevertheless, two names that were earlier speculated have now confirmed they will not be participating.

Gavin and Stacey actor Ruth Jones – who portrayed Nessa Jenkins andalso contributed to the popular comedy series– refuted rumors that she would enter the castle.

On the Jonathan Ross Show, where Jonathan has appeared in series one, Ruth mentioned: ‘There was a big rumor about me doing it too.’

The thing is, I had somewhat been asked about doing it, and I really like the show and think it’s fantastic, but then I thought I’d have to wear a wetsuit and go into one of those lochs, and I’d get bitten by the midges. I’d rather stay in my pajamas and watch everyone else.

This Morning’s Alison Hammond, who initially gained recognition as a contestant on Big Brother, also deniedher possible involvement.

She also mentioned during an appearance on the Jonathan Ross Show: ‘I can’t do it because I’m working on Bake Off. I believe it’s scheduled at the same time as Bake Off, so that’s a definite ‘no’.’
