A car driver and a bus operator are being probed by authorities for mutual assault following a conflict related to honking on the road.

The Jeonju Deokjin Police Station stated on the 30th that it is looking into Mr. A, a passenger vehicle driver, for alleged assault under the Specific Crime Aggravated Punishment Act, and Mr. B, a bus driver, for charges of assault.

Mr. A is under suspicion for pulling the bus driver’s collar and verbally insulting him as they were boarding a bus that had come to a stop on a road in Songcheon-dong, Deokjin-gu, Jeonju City on the 20th.

At that moment, Mr. A got on the bus that had honked behind him and had a disagreement with Mr. B, during which it was discovered that Mr. B had spat at Mr. A.

A law enforcement representative stated, “We have filed charges against both the passenger vehicle driver and the bus driver for mutual assault,” and further mentioned, “We are examining the specific details of the incident using black box recordings and CCTV, along with other forms of evidence.”
