The Sindhi Literary Sangat held a launch event for the research book ‘Olhand Phathal Naaro’ authored by young writer and researcher Ahmed Ali Soomro at the Larkana Press Club.
The gathering was chaired by the esteemed writer Mukhtiar Samo, who, during his speech, mentioned that Ahmed Ali Soomro has compiled the history of Sindh in a scientific manner through thorough research on this topic. He noted that this research is comparable to a PhD thesis, as the author has recorded genuine history while following research principles, which will be a source of pride for our coming generations. History offers us bravery, knowledge, and a sense of identity.
Author Ahmed Ali Soomro stated that this book represents a lost part of history, containing a remarkable civilization. Young writer and researcher Isa Memon noted that through this book, Ahmed Soomro has tried to remove the dust from Sindh’s history and has conveyed a fresh message by presenting history from a modern and enlightened viewpoint.
Famous author and poet Baqarullah Bozdar mentioned that this book offers a solid base for individuals passionate about history and also acts as a reliable source.
Renowned guest Dr. Zameer Ahmed Soomro mentioned that Ahmed has lived his life surrounded by books and has been engaged in exploration since his early years, with this book being the outcome of that journey.
Notable individuals such as Mumtaz Luhur, Ali Pathan, Adil Solangi, Sahib Khan Mirani, Raees Ahmed Khan Jatoi, and others also spoke at the event.
Previously, Roshan Totani, District Contact Secretary of the Sindhi Literary Sangat Larkana, greeted the visitors and mentioned that events of this kind would keep taking place. He stated that Ahmed Ali Soomro’s book would not only act as a reference for history students but also ensure the lasting preservation of various historical elements.
Throughout the program, Muhammad Nawaz Marathi performed ‘Latif’s Wai,’ whereas Mumtaz Luhar delivered a Ghazal. A significant crowd from different backgrounds was present at the event.
