Federal Communications Minister Abdul Aleem Khan visited the Embassy of Tajikistan on Saturday and met with Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir.

During the meeting, both parties engaged in in-depth conversations regarding bilateral relations, trade collaboration, and the current regional scenario. At this event, Federal Communications Minister and President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party, Abdul Aleem Khan, mentioned that Pakistan and Tajikistan have long-standing friendly and brotherly ties rooted in common religious and cultural values. He commended the work of the Tajik Ambassador, highlighting that HE Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir has made a notable and significant contribution in strengthening the relationship between the two nations. He added that Pakistan is eager to improve bilateral trade with Tajikistan and should take advantage of the numerous cooperation opportunities in various fields. Referring to his recent trip to Tajikistan, Abdul Aleem Khan stressed the importance of accelerating the implementation of agreements between the two countries, promoting trade, and leveraging their mutual religious and cultural connections.

The Tajikistan Ambassador to Pakistan, Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir, warmly greeted Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan and mentioned that Tajikistan, especially in the current situation, aims to fully utilize Pakistan’s trade routes.

He recognized Pakistan’s proactive and beneficial role in the area and conveyed confidence that favorable results will soon be achieved. In the meeting, both parties emphasized the significance of boosting Pak-Tajik trade relations, encouraging regional collaboration, and reinforcing trade routes among Central Asian nations.

They also discussed the present global scenario and the ongoing tensions in South Asia. It is significant that when Federal Communications Minister Abdul Aleem Khan arrived at the Embassy of Tajikistan, special renditions of national songs were played, enhancing the welcoming ambiance of the occasion. The federal minister also toured different parts of the Embassy of Tajikistan along with Ambassador HE Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir.
