His most recent arrest occurred just under a year following his and his family’s assertion of having won what was termed the biggest lottery prize in Kentucky’s history, in the United States.
Only one day after winning the jackpot, Farthing was taken into custody in Florida for reportedly striking a hotel guest and kicking a police officer, theNew York Post reported.
Authorities in Kentucky have classified him as a habitual offender with a criminal history spanning more than 35 years and involving several counties. Court documents reveal a lengthy history of previous crimes, such as assault, drug trafficking, bribery, possession of stolen weapons, and participation in a marijuana smuggling operation alongside his mother.
In February 2026, he faced additional charges in another case, reportedly threatening a woman involved in his legal matters and compelling her to ingest a marijuana-infused candy. He is set to attend court in early April.
Farthing’s history of criminal activity began during his adolescence, involving offenses such as theft and driving without caution. He left school after the 10th grade but eventually earned his high school diploma while serving time in prison.
