Approximately 2:12 p.m. on the 5th, a city bus and a motorcycle were involved in a collision at an intersection in Bakdal-dong, Manan-gu, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi Province, leading to the death of Mr. A, a man in his 50s who was operating the motorcycle, on the spot.

At the moment of the accident, the city bus was moving in the regular traffic direction towards the Chunghun Tunnel at the intersection, but it was found that it crashed into a motorcycle that was disregarding the traffic signal and coming from the right.

Police suspect that, just prior to the accident, Mr. A lost control of his motorcycle for an unknown cause, and while in that condition, he slid beneath the bus and was fatally crushed.

A law enforcement representative said, “It seems the accident happened when the motorcycle was moving towards the bus, which was following the regular traffic signals,” and mentioned, “We are looking into the specific details of the incident.”
