At approximately 3:42 p.m. on the 5th, Mr. A, a man in his 60s, was injured by a tombstone as he was putting it in place at a public cemetery in Nammyeon, Seowon-gu, Cheongju City.

Firefighters were called following a report from a client involved in the tombstone installation who was at the location, and they took Mr. A to a hospital, but he eventually passed away.

Mr. A, a worker at the cemetery, was said to be by himself installing an inclined gravestone when the incident happened.

Authorities are examining the specific details of the event.
