Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched an extensive aid program to alleviate the economic burden on motorcycle owners throughout the region.

As part of the program, all fees associated with motorcycle registration and transfer of ownership have been entirely eliminated. Furthermore, registered owners will get a monthly financial support of Rs 2,000.

The financial assistance package includes a fuel benefit, enabling qualified motorcycle owners to receive a discount of Rs100 per liter on up to 20 liters of gasoline every month. Authorities think this measure will assist in reducing everyday travel costs for a significant portion of the public.

Motorcycle owners have multiple options to apply for the fuel subsidy, such as contacting the 1000 helpline, using the ‘Maryam Ko Batain’ mobile app, or accessing the government’s official website.

Regarding the initiative, the chief minister emphasized the government’s dedication to assisting people in difficult economic times, stating that this package is included in wider social welfare programs.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Excise stated that motorcycle registration information has already been shared with federal authorities. He mentioned that digital wallets will be established for qualified individuals to facilitate the smooth and transparent distribution of funds.
