Reform UK has pledged to restart oil and gas drilling in the North Sea to support the UK in generating its own energy, should they win the upcoming election.

Experts forecast that household energy costs may increase by almost £300 annually starting in July due to a rise in the energy price limit.
It arises as ministers disagree on whether Labour should resume oil and gas drilling or remain committed to Ed Miliband’s Net Zero targets.
The Secretary of Energy – a supporter of renewable energy and opponent of any additional exploration – is in conflict with the Chancellor.Rachel Reeves, who believes that drilling contributes to development.
He is reportedly thinking about giving the green light to the Jackdaw gas field near Scotland, but continues to be against the Rosebank oil field, which is believed to hold as many as 300 million barrels.

Reform stated on Tuesday that it would endorse both areas, emphasizing that the necessity to develop indigenous oil and gas resources had never been more critical.
Energy representative Richard Tice stated: “Expanding access to the North Sea for additional licenses and output is our essential, national responsibility.”
