A mishap took place in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, where three employees were injured while working on a high-altitude platform to install incinerator pipes at a waste management site.

As reported by the North Gyeongsang Fire Department and other sources on the 7th, at around 1:45 p.m. on the 6th, three workers, including Mr. A in his 60s, fell about 4 meters while working on pipe installation on an incinerator using a high-altitude work vehicle at a waste treatment facility in Oedong-eup, Gyeongju. The three individuals suffered moderate to severe injuries and were taken to a hospital.

The incident was determined to have taken place when a 2-ton duct fell during pipe installation, striking the basket of the elevated work vehicle the employees were using.

Law enforcement is examining the specific details of the incident using accounts from eyewitnesses.
