U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that he had decided to delay a severe strike against Iran for two weeks and was prepared for a truce in the conflict if Tehran fully reopened the crucial Strait of Hormuz.
“I concur to halt the bombing and attacks on Iran for a span of two weeks,” Trump stated on social media, just over an hour prior to his deadline, following discussions with Pakistani mediators.
