A family has urgently requested assistance in locating a missing father who went missing during a camping trip earlier this week.
Phil Hutchison, 62, has remained out of sight and contact since April 2, when he embarked on a journey through secluded areas in the north.NSWwith a van and trailer.
His family mentions that he was probably exploring the Guy Fawkes River National Park, as well as the Ebor, Dalmorton, and Nymboida River regions and Marendo Road and Chaelundi Road.
He intended to go for a bike ride on nearby paths.
The family of Mr. Hutchison sounded the alert following the discovery of his van, missing the caravan, north of Lismore.
It’s a large region, with Guy Fawkes River National Park at least 300km from the location where his van was discovered.
Michael, the son of Mr. Hutchison, issued a social media plea to assist in locating his father, mentioning that he might be near his caravan in an isolated region with poor mobile network coverage.
“We have some very troubling information to announce,” he wrote on Facebook.
Our father is missing. He went on a camping trip during the Easter weekend, but no one has been able to reach him since.
We are worried about his well-being. Kindly reach out to me, our family, or the police if you have any information and/or share this post.
Online friends came together to support the family.
“Oh wow, Hutch, this is truly terrible. I’m thinking about you and your family, and sending good vibes for his safe return,” one person wrote.
“What awful news. I hope he is found unharmed and in good health soon. Sending you love and warm embraces,” another person wrote.
“Oh Michael, I’m truly sorry to hear about this. I hope he is discovered safe and sound as soon as possible,” a third person said.
The NSW Police stated they have not received any report regarding Mr. Hutchison being missing.
