Kristi Noem’s controversial $70milion luxury jetwill continue to be within the scope of the Trump administration as First LadyMelania Trumpwill be part of the group that has access to it.
Several members of the president’s cabinet will also be permitted to utilize the plane, which was initially acquired to support Trump’s large-scale deportation efforts, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The aircraft was acquired by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and included a bedroom, showers, a kitchen, four big flat-screen televisions, and even a bar, as shown in pictures shared by NBC News.
The aircraft had already been rented by DHS and was utilized for a recent journey by Noem toTel Aviv.
A representative from the DHS confirmed that the $70 million jet was acquired before the appointment of new Secretary Markwayne Mullin.
“This plane will be accessible to government officials requiring secure command and control along with swift long-distance travel,” they mentioned.
The White House directed journalists to the DHS for a response.
ICE states that the jet will be utilized for deportations and travel by Cabinet members, including DHS leadership such as Noem.

However, some Department of Homeland Security officials privately voiced worries to NBC about whether the luxury 747 aircraft is essential for Noem to implement the president’s large-scale deportation plan.
When questioned about the plane’s purpose for deportations, a DHS representative stated, “at least one of the bedrooms is currently being modified for seating to ensure the aircraft meets the requirements of its deportation mission.”
NBC’s exclusive report prompted the Republican National Committee to share the story with the leading figures and media commentators within the Republican party.
The narrative was delivered on Thursday morning to an email distribution containing several key figures in the industry.GOP, including RNC members.
Knives are out for Noem. They only release stories they want people to be aware of,” said a GOP official on the RNC’s list to the Daily Mail. “They don’t distribute every article.
A spokesperson for the RNC, however, minimized the importance of the story being sent to a limited email server that contains high-ranking GOP officials.
“Whoever this ‘source’ is clearly doesn’t understand how media tracking functions,” said Zach Parkinson, RNC Communications Director, to the Daily Mail.
The RNC Communications team regularly tracks and notifies about various types of news – including false ones – as it assists Republican communicators in countering traditional media misinformation.

“Secretary Noem and every one of President Trump’s appointees at DHS are performing outstanding work and have the full backing of the RNC,” said Parkinson.
Noem was dismissed as Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security on March 5, following which Mullin was approved by the Senate soon afterward.
According to NBC’s report, political appointees within ICE and the White House initially had no intention of acquiring the plane but later reversed their decision.
“That specific aircraft was a ‘no,’ we had no intention of purchasing it. Then, all of a sudden, they said ‘yes,’” a Department of Homeland Security official stated.
Authorities also outlined plans for modifying the aircraft to be used for deportations, as well as for private travel by Noem, as stated in the report.
