The husband of a CaliforniaA coffee shop owner from the Bay Area who disappeared without a hint of where she went has revealed the challenges that the dedicated mother and caregiver was experiencing.

Amy Hillyard, 52, went missing on March 25 following herlast observed walking the household petin their Cleveland Heights neighborhood in Oakland.

A woman with two children is regarded as being in danger because of a hidden health issue, as stated by the Oakland Police Department.

As the urgent search for Amy persists, her husband, Chris Hillyard, who co-owns Farley’s Coffee with her, disclosed that she was dealing with mental health issues at the time of her disappearance.

She was ‘recovering’ from depressionand nervousness after the passing of a close friend and one of the family’s dogs, along with the pressure of providing extensive care for close relatives, Chris mentioned theSan Francisco Chronicle

“Amy takes pride in being available for others, looking after them, and all these stressors have had an impact,” the husband said.

As per Chris, his wife had obtained professional assistance and was given medication for depression and anxiety at the time of her disappearance.

“Amy was focused on recovery and taking all the necessary steps to get better. The truth is that going without her medication is risky, which is why it’s crucial to have Amy back home,” Chris shared.

There is no genuine reason for her disappearance. She didn’t leave a message or any other hints.

Chris stated, “We will not cease our search for Amy until we obtain answers. We are convinced she is still alive.”

The Oakland police informed the newspaper that they do not suspect any wrongdoing in Amy’s vanishing.

“At this moment, there is no indication of wrongdoing. Currently, there is no evidence of abduction, kidnapping, or any other crime linked to her vanishing,” the department stated.

On the day she vanished, Chris mentioned that they had breakfast at home, after which he took her to the transit station, where she was heading for a therapy session.

Amy sent a message to her husband at approximately 1:40 pm informing him that she had arrived home and that her credit card had been charged for a transportation ticket.

Chris mentioned that security camera footage captured Amy a short time later, walking their dog and speaking with a neighbor.

When Chris returned home at approximately 3:15 pm, the back door was left open, and Amy’s items were placed on the kitchen counter, such as her car keys, phone, wallet, and handbag.

At 4:30 pm, Amy was seen on security footage in the vicinity of Dimond Park, which is situated at the bottom of Dimond Canyon and its walking paths, as reported by authorities.

The police carried out an investigation of the area on March 31, yet they could not find any sign of Amy.

Chris uploaded a video to YouTube using the account Bring Amy Home on Wednesday.

“Amy’s talent lies in drawing the best from others. She has made me a better individual. She tends to improve most people she interacts with,” her husband remarked.

My daughters and I, naturally, have unconditional love for Amy. We are going through a tough time, and all we want is for her to return home.

Amy is a 52-year-old white woman who is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has blonde hair and hazel-colored eyes.
