Adding to the complexity: a woman asserting she is the former girlfriend ofPaolo Zampolli— Melania’s former modeling agent who became a presidential envoy — has been sharing enigmatic threats online, suggesting she might ‘reveal’ information about alleged ties,” as reported by The Swamp. “If these posts are genuine, it would be the same ex-girlfriend who alleges that Zampolli used his relationship with the Trumps to have her deported by ICE. Is it a coincidence or a trigger? In Trumpworld, nothing is ever straightforward — and this story is quickly turning into a particularly complicated situation.”

“I will dismantle your corrupt system, no matter what it takes. I’ll take it to the end—I have no fear. Perhaps you should be scared of what I know… of who you are, and of your husband,” the individual who identified as Ungaro wrote.

Zampolli sought assistance from a high-ranking ICE official “to settle a personal dispute” and have the mother of his child removed during a custody conflict, as reported in a significant article fromThe New York Times in March.

Zampolli introduced TrumpTo Melania. He learned that his Brazilian ex-girlfriend, Amanda Ungaro, had been arrested on fraud charges related to her job and was currently in a Miami jail — and last year, Zampolli spoke with a senior official at ICE, David Venturella, to determine if she could be transferred to ICE custody.

The two were involved in a legal dispute regarding their adolescent son, and “he saw a chance” to reclaim him, according to The Times’ report.

A person who has knowledge of Zampolli’s communications and documents obtained by The Times stated that Ungaro was taken from a Miami jail by ICE officers before she could post bond and subsequently deported. While this might have occurred without the involvement of her former partner, it prompts inquiries into how officials within the Trump administration utilized the federal government during Trump’s second term to target personal grudges.

Zampolli refuted to The Times that he had pursued any special advantages or asked federal authorities to detain Ungaro.

On April 8, Ungaro’s verified X accountposted the following in reply to Melania Trump:

Will take legal action against you and your p——– husband. I have known you for 20 years. You were aware of my detention by ICE. You were part of my life — every year on my son’s birthday, even sending the Secret Service and being the first to congratulate him, back in 2016. Something was clearly off, but I am not involved in any evil mission with children. So what did you do, Melania? You tried to bring me in, but you failed — because I have integrity.
