Joe Scarborough of MS NOW voiced confusion aboutMelania TrumpHis rare public appearance on Thursday.
Scarborough, 63, referred to the timing of the First Lady’s announcement ‘strange’ and doubted its meaning to begin Friday’s Morning Joe.
Melania, 55, took the opportunity to try and separate herself from the late sex offenderJeffrey Epstein.
Scarborough called ‘the notion that [Melania] was unaware” and “had no connection” with Epstein “beyond strange.”
“Secondly, that she would genuinely act as if she didn’t recognize him,” he added.
A video of the first lady stating that sheand husband Donald only attended the same parties as Epstein “from time to time,” followed.
During her statement, Melania also stated that a 2002 message to Ghislaine Maxwell – Epstein’s sole convicted associate – “cannot be considered anything other than casual communication” in the video.
Scarborough wondered if there was some disclosure on the way, and why the first lady was ‘bringing up an issue that the president clearly does not wish to be discussed.

The leader has been under scrutiny to disclose all documents and interactions connected to Epstein.
The management’s approach to the case has been mostly overshadowed bynews about the Iran conflict, which marked its 42nd day on Friday.
Melania, on the other hand, utilized her speech to highlight the suffering of Epstein’s victims.
“we continue to need to operate openly and honestly to reveal the truth,” she stated, urging congress to organize a public hearing where victims can share their stories under oath.
‘“That’s completely contrary to what the president has been emphasizing for several months,” Scarborough pointed out.
Scarborough highlighted how ‘aA few hours following Melania’s comments, the president launched a series of social media posts targeting MAGA influencers who had distanced themselves from him regarding his military actions in Iran.
Trump specifically targeted Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones, labeling them as ‘stupid people’ and ‘NUT JOBS’ in his latest post on Truth Social.
“Alex Korson, our EP, compared it to War and Peace — without the peace,” Scarborough joked.

Reporter Jacqueline Alemany told Scarborough and co-host Mika Brzezinskithat Trump informed her he was unaware of the speech’s details in advance.
He mentioned that ‘[Melania] was unaware of [Epstein]’ before ending the call.
White House staff were similarly caught off guard by the speech, Alemany added, referencing White House officials.
Fox News stated that White House journalists were also not informed beforehand about the content of the speech, which was scheduled beforehand.
The first lady’s denial follows a day in which the Justice Department revealed that former Attorney General Pam Bondi would not be appearing for a subpoena from the House Oversight Committee on April 14.
The legal notice focused on her management of the DOJ papers concerning Epstein, after strong cross-party criticism.
Rep. James Comer, the Republican leader of the Oversight Committee, issued the subpoena following his agreement with Democrats to examine the Department of Justice’s management of documents linked to President Trump that were not included in recent administrative disclosures.
The Department of Justice informed the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday that its subpoena for a private deposition with Bondi was no longer valid since it aimed to obtain Bondi’s testimony in her role as Attorney General.
She was removed from her position last week. Comer has not yet rescinded the subpoena.
