A collision took place approximately at 11:06 a.m. on the 2nd, as a village bus collided with the back of a 4.5-ton freight truck that was stopped at a traffic signal on a road in Jeongnam-myeon, Hyohyeon-gu, Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province.

Seventeen individuals, comprising the bus driver (Mr. A), fifteen passengers, and the truck driver, were hurt and received care at a local hospital following the incident. All injuries were stated to be not serious.

Authorities think the accident occurred when Mr. A, who was operating the bus heading to Jeongnam-myeon, pressed the brake pedal too late.

Officials intend to examine Mr. A and other individuals connected to establish the full details of the incident.
