The governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, stated on Saturday that the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership in Kano has no regrets about backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, calling the president’s 2027 re-election a shared duty of every party member and government employee.
Governor Yusuf stated that Kano is fully dedicated to spearheading the nation in casting large numbers of votes for President Tinubu and ensuring the APC’s success at every level in the upcoming general election.
He addressed an interactive meeting with elected and appointed government officials at the Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano, as stated by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
Governor Yusuf reiterated his administration’s dedication to securing victories for the APC across presidential, gubernatorial, National Assembly, State Assembly, and local government elections.
To encourage political office holders, he authorized the distribution of land plots to more than 300 political assistants, such as Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Senior Special Reporters, Special Reporters, and Personal Assistants. Each recipient will also get N100,000.
Additionally, Ismail Falgore, the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, stated that the APC has no reason to apologize for promoting President Tinubu’s accomplishments in Kano.
He observed that initiatives carried out by assembly members with the governor’s backing have enhanced the party’s popularity throughout the state.
Kano APC leader, Umar Haruna Doguwa, stated that “the front has been established” against the Kwankwasiyya Movement, showing assurance that the APC will win in 2027.
At the conclusion of the meeting, elected and appointed officials unanimously cast a vote of confidence in President Tinubu and Governor Yusuf. They committed to increasing grassroots engagement and collaborating together to ensure the APC’s success at every level during the 2027 elections.
