A man in his twenties, who is the biological father of a five-year-old daughter, was quickly taken into custody by authorities on charges of child abuse according to the Child Welfare Act.
The Dongducheon Police Station reported on August 10 that they have detained Mr. A for alleged child abuse under the Child Welfare Act, with the case currently under investigation.
Mr. A is being charged with mistreating his five-year-old daughter, B, at his home in Dongducheon.
Approximately 2 a.m. on that day, a message was received at a residence saying, “It appears the child has suffered from domestic abuse.”
B was discovered with several bruises covering her body and was taken to the hospital following urgent medical care.
It was stated that B had been residing with her natural father, Mr. A, along with her stepmother.
The authorities are looking into Mr. A concerning the particular details of the abuse and the reason for the offense.
