Businesses will investigate data-driven marketing and retail media possibilities.

Seven & i Holdings and Seven-Eleven Japan have collaborated with SoftBank, PayPay, LY Corporation, and Sumitomo Mitsui Card to create digital services and systems for7-Eleven stores.

Seven & i has also established financial and business alliances with SoftBank, PayPay, and Sumitomo Mitsui Card to facilitate cooperation.

The collaborations will merge 7-Eleven’s retail locations with SoftBank’s expertise in artificial intelligence, robotics, and data analysis, along with PayPay, LY Corporation, and Sumitomo Mitsui Card’s consumer networks and payment and loyalty systems.

Businesses will combine Seven & i’s 7iD loyalty system with PayPay accounts, and launch PayPay Points along with V Points as rewards for 7-Eleven customers.

They will also introduce collaborative marketing efforts and extend 7-Eleven’s mini applications to PayPay, LINE, and Sumitomo Mitsui Card.

The collaborators will investigate the application of customer data and AI to tailor services, create data-driven marketing and retail media, and enhance in-store operations.

SoftBank’s innovations may also be applied to analyze customer movement, enhance supply chain operations, facilitate communication, ensure security, manage energy usage, and support various retail infrastructure systems.

The businesses stated that the collaborations will integrate 7-Eleven’s brick-and-mortar locations with online offerings, enhancing customer ease and shop efficiency.
