A Kenyan woman is accused of stabbing all five of her children at their residence in Kampala, Uganda, during the early morning hours of Thursday, July 24, 2026, resulting in the death of two and leaving three others critically injured in the hospital.

The assault is said to have occurred approximately at 4 am at the family’s home in the Kalungu Zone, Bunga, located in the Ggaba region of Makindye Division.

Residents claimed the violence is thought to have resulted from a conflict between the woman and her spouse, although authorities are still seeking to verify the reason and the order of incidents.

2 Children Killed, 3 Admitted to Hospital

A domestic worker reportedly awoke to the sound of distressed screams originating from within the house and found all five children with serious injuries. Emergency services transported the children to a hospital, but two of them did not make it.

Police confirmed that 14-year-old Khadija Daizy was one of the children who passed away, reportedly discovered in her bedroom. Her younger sibling, seven-year-old Hawa Dalena, was taken to the hospital but eventually died from her wounds.

The three remaining brothers and sisters, who are 13, 8, and 5 years old, are still in the hospital and are getting immediate medical care.

A 43-year-old Kenyan individual, recognized by authorities as Dorothy Namayo, was also discovered with injuries at the location. She is currently receiving medical care at Mulago National Referral Hospital while under police supervision.

Homicide Detectives Examine Scene

A joint group of murder detectives, crime scene officers, and forensic experts has subsequently inspected the residence and gathered evidence.

The remains of the two deceased children were sent for autopsy, while law enforcement gathered accounts from witnesses and individuals who could assist in understanding what occurred that evening.

The matter has been documented within the scope of inquiries regarding homicide, attempted homicide, and associated situations.

Behind the inquiry is the heartbreaking truth of a family broken apart and three young individuals whose lives could be permanently affected by what they went through during those early morning moments.
