Fans have been expressing their opinions on the latest group of comedians ready to entertain and irritate the authoritarian figure.Greg Davieson the most recent season ofTaskmaster.

Chloe Petts, Isy Suttie, Matt Lucas, Nina Conti, and Richard Ayoadeare the unfortunate people forced to move to Greg’s cheerful melody this time.

And yesterday, Channel 4and young Alex Horne, the Taskmaster’s assistant and hidden genius of the program, revealed the 22nd season for us.

The preview featured the typical combination of exaggerated antics, comedians experiencing emotional meltdowns, and a significant amount of intense action.

Above all, the trailer reassured some anxious fans who had been concerned about a particular competitor.

A part of the Taskmaster supporters worried that Richard Ayoade’s deadpan style might not fit well with the show’s more affectionate approach.

Fortunately, after catching a quick look at Richard in action, those worries have disappeared as quickly as a puddle under the sun.

It’s a small scene, but Richard Ayoade looking puzzled and smiling gives me hope that he will connect with the game instead of remaining distant and uninvolved.comedy persona,’ wrote Hairy_Dirt3361 on Reddit.

“I’m specifically here for Richard,” said SaltPomegranate4.

Turbulent_Natural43 meanwhile noted that the worries regarding Richard were somewhat exaggerated.

“I believe people were overly worried about it happening, honestly,” they wrote.

He primarily adopts that persona strongly in shows such as Big Fat Quiz or Cats Does Countdown, where the game itself isn’t really significant.

He’s far more willing to go along with programs likeLast One Laughing. And he has been involved in sketch comedy for many years; he isn’t always so distant.

Richard was not the sole competitor who thrilled the fans, however.

DoctorWhofan789eywim stated that they believe Isy Suttie is “going to be an all-time contestant” following the trailer, while NateExpectations remarked: “Chloe looks like she’s going to put in 110% effort to gain 10% of the rewards.”

Nevertheless, the main attraction of the event was undoubtedly Patatas the cat.

For those unaware, Patatas is a stuffed cat toy that has been a regular feature on Taskmaster since the second season.

The last time we saw Patatas, Kumail Nanjani had cut some of his fur while trying to fill an egg cup with lint (it makes sense in the context, I assure you), so fans are pleased to welcome him back.

“I can’t believe, after all this time, they finally managed to get him on the show,” joked @stevematthews8028 onYouTube.’Patatas returns!’

Finally, they recognized the true star of the event,’ agreed @xdami4nx. ‘God save Patatas.

The new cast of Taskmaster has sparked unexpectedly intense debate., with some claiming they will refuse to watch the new series.

Richard has faced criticism in recent years following his support for the autobiography of gender-critical author Graham Linehan.

Reviewers viewed the action as a support for Linehan’s anti-trans views.

In the meantime, some have expressed disapproval of the choice to cast Matt Lucas, pointing to his past use of blackface and jokes targeting the LGBTQ+ community as grounds for his exclusion from the project.

Lucas, on his part, has expressed regret for his previous actions.

“If I had the chance to redo Little Britain, I wouldn’t include those jokes about transvestites. I wouldn’t portray black characters. In short, I wouldn’t create that show today. It would offend people. We produced a more harsh type of humor than I would now,” he stated to Big Issue in 2017.

Taskmaster Season 22 starts on September 3.
