A former contestant on Big Brother Naija and actress, DJ Tolani Baj, has become emotional in a trending Instagram video, claiming that a former worker stole high-value DJ gear worth millions of naira from her academy and is now evading the police.

In the video she shared on Monday, August 24, 2026, Tolani Baj described how she employed a young woman named Precious Akiyemi Deborah via a recruitment agency at the end of April, appointing her as an executive assistant to assist in managing her DJ Academy.

The former BBNaija contestantnoted that her employee’s responsibilities involved overseeing students, obtaining snacks, and documenting behind-the-scenes material.

How Tolani Baj discovered the alleged theft

Tolani Baj mentioned that initial warning signals emerged within a few weeks, when the recruitment agency noted missing background screenings and reference documents.

Nevertheless, she mentioned that her affection for Precious and the assistant’s evident work ethic made her disregard the problem.

Tolani Bajasserted that she later observed her employee frequently exaggerating the prices of items bought for the institution, although she did not express concern at that moment.

The tension increased approximately two weeks prior to the academy’s opening, when the former reality TV contestant stated they had sent about ₦6 million (GH¢49,644) to Precious to purchase four DJ controllers from the Alaba market.

Receipts and routine updates were reportedly provided, and all seemed legitimate, until Tolani Baj’s main instructor reached out to her during graduation week to inquire about the controllers.

It was alleged that Precious had taken three of the controllers out of the academy, stating she had been told to do so for an upgrade.

On July 29, during a group call with two instructors, Precious is said to have initially denied taking anything, later admitting that the controllers were at her house, explaining that she was unwell and couldn’t afford transportation to return them.

Tolani Baj was immediately dismissed from her job.

The disc jockey and Nollywood actressalleged that the situation became more worrying when Precious shared an image of herself getting a hospital IV, vowing to return the equipment after being released.

She claimed that the personnel who visited her address discovered no one was present, and subsequently, her messages ceased to arrive completely.

Tolani Baj stated that she later found out that on the same night of the incident, Precious reached out to another DJ to rent the same types of controllers she was accused of stealing.

The shopkeeper from whom the controllers were initially bought reportedly also stated that Precious contacted him in June trying to sell three controllers back.

Tolani Baj mentioned that the police were informed and a petition was submitted, adding that two people suspected of buying the stolen controllers were taken into custody, with one controller having been recovered.

Nevertheless, Precious had fled and had not been captured yet, leading the former BBNaija celebrity to request public assistance in locating her.
