Naver’s collaboration with Kurly, “Kurly N Mart,” has seen its transaction volume increase approximately tenfold within a year of its launch. Naver launched the service in September of last year in partnership with Kurly to address previously criticized issues related to fresh food and early morning delivery.

On the 31st, Naver stated, “Kurly N Mart’s transaction volume has grown about tenfold compared to its initial service phase,” adding, “This synergy resulted from combining the user-friendly experience of Naver Plus Store with Kurly’s reliable early morning delivery infrastructure.” The primary demographic driving Kurly N Mart’s growth is analyzed to be individuals in their 30s and 40s. Among customers who used Kurly N Mart more than ten times, 72% were in their 30s and 40s, according to Naver. Notably, those in their 40s visited Kurly N Mart an average of once a week or more.

The convenience of shopping via the Naver Plus Store app is also identified as a key growth factor. Over 80% of Kurly N Mart’s transaction volume originated from the Naver Plus Store app. Additionally, after introducing the “Today Delivery” service in February, orders placed between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m. increased by 34% within a month.

Naver plans to launch a recommendation service in the second half of this year that suggests new products based on users’ shopping interests, search, and purchase contexts. For example, users who previously purchased camping gear on Naver Plus Store will receive recommendations for meal kits or food items that can be easily prepared at campsites.

To celebrate Kurly N Mart’s first anniversary, Naver will hold the “Kurly N Mart 1st Anniversary Festival” from the 31st to the 6th of next month. The event will offer discounts on popular products and provide coupons with up to 50% discounts. Kim Pyeong-song, Naver’s Grocery & Leisure Business Leader, said, “Kurly N Mart has proven its competitiveness within a year of its launch by combining Naver and Kurly’s capabilities and experiences, serving as a successful partnership model for mutual growth.”
