Two Form Three students have gone missing in the Kiembeni area of Kisauni Constituency, Mombasa County, after they left home on a simple errand to buy milk and never came back.

The incident has left both families in anguish, with parents and community members desperate for any information on the whereabouts of the two girls, who are underage secondary school students.

How did Teriani go missing?

One of the missing students, Teriani, made contact with her mother shortly after the girls left home. The mother, who was at a church gathering at the time, said Teriani called from a neighbour’s house and told her she was well.

“I was at church, where we were mourning, and that is when I spoke to Teriani. She was at my neighbour Mama Vanessa’s place, and she told me that she was fine and happy. She was sent to the shop to buy milk, but they did not return. From there, their phones were switched off,” the mother told Citizen TV Kenya.

That phone call was the last confirmed sign of life. Since then, both students have been unreachable, and their current location remains unknown.

Mombasa parents hope to reunite with daughters

Speaking through Citizen TV Kenya, the families issued a heartfelt plea to anyone who may have encountered the two girls, urging them not to wait before acting.

“Please, we are appealing to anyone who may have seen them somewhere to bring them back or take them to the police. They do not even have to bring them to us. We just want to see our children return to school,” one parent said.

The family also directed a message to whoever may be in contact with the minors, stressing the urgent need to return them to safety.

Mombasa parents make emotional appeal to public

“But right now, cases like this are beginning to emerge, and they have increased significantly. What we know is that these two children are still students and they are underage.

Wherever they are, and whoever they are with, please bring them back, even if it means taking them to a police station, so that their parents can have peace of mind and get their children back,” the parent added.

Members of the public with any information on the two missing Form Three students are urged to contact the nearest police station in Kisauni Constituency or report to any law enforcement officer.
