The blacktip shark ‘Bukangi’, who has become a nationwide star, has now appeared on the label of a local soju product.
Daesun Ju-jo announced on the 8th that it has released the ‘Daesun Bukangi Edition’, utilizing the shark Bukangi, which has become a landmark of Busan North Port. This follows Bukangi, which has been staying in the waterway of the Busan North Port waterfront park since September 18, continuously drawing attention, leading the company to reflect this in their product design.
This product is a special edition of the existing Daesun soju, featuring a new label that embodies Bukangi. The label depicts a shark smiling while riding the waves against a backdrop of the blue sea. Daesun Ju-jo explained that they expressed a friendly and dynamic atmosphere while retaining the blue sea and splash imagery, which are symbols of Daesun.
Earlier, Daesun Ju-jo also released an AI short-form video titled ‘The Shark That Came to North Port, Is This the Reason?’ on their official social media (SNS), featuring Bukangi as the subject. The video shows Bukangi, who was swimming in the North Port waterway, taking out Daesun soju.
Choi Hong-sung, the representative of Daesun Ju-jo, said, “We planned this edition to share the bright energy of Bukangi, who is bringing vitality to the old downtown area of Busan, with the citizens,” and added, “We will always listen to the stories of Busan citizens, laugh together with them, and strive to be a company loved like a friend at all times.”
