A man in his 70s died after being hit by a train on the Gyeongbu Line Sasang Station tracks.
According to fire authorities on the 21st, the accident occurred at 9:47 p.m. on October 20, when Mr. A, a man in his 70s, was struck by a Mugunghwa-ho train on the down-line tracks of Sasang Station on the Gyeongbu Line.
The train, carrying 20 people, had departed from Daejeon and was en route to Busan Station.
Train operations resumed after midnight following the incident. Other high-speed and regular train services were delayed by at least 20 minutes to approximately one hour.
The police plan to investigate the exact cause of the accident.
