A secret player or team member is scheduled to sell their collection of medals fromManchester City‘s historic Treble-winning season.

Top sports memorabilia auctioneers Budds have stated that an “incredible and historic collection of five medals” willbe auctioned later this month.

The item will be offered during the Made In Manchester Live auction, scheduled for April 28.

The set includes Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League winners’ medals.

The Premier League trophy is presented in its original packaging, with the back featuring the engraving ‘Champions 2022/23’.

The Champions League trophy also includes an engraving and a ribbon, whereas the FA Cup trophy comes with a ribbon and its original protective case.

Two additional medals are included in the collection, as Manchester City secured both the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2023.

When reached by Daily Mail Sport, Budds verified that the medals are an official collection from the Treble campaign, with the seller opting to stay unidentified.

“This remarkable set of medals offers a unique chance for collectors, supporters, and dedicated investors in football history to participate in bidding for items linked to a significant season for the Manchester team,” stated the auction house.

We are thrilled to be organizing the sale and anticipate a lot of attention.

The initial offer is set at £30,000 before the in-person auction scheduled for April 28.

Budds believes the medals might sell for anywhere from £50,000 to £80,000.

Manchester City, under Pep Guardiola, were declared Premier League champions in the 2022-23 season, securing the title five points ahead of their closest competitors, Arsenal.

Manchester City later defeated their long-time rivals, Manchester United, 2-1 in the FA Cup final, and then secured their first Champions League victory when Rodri scored the decisive goal in a 1-0 triumph against Inter Milan in the Istanbul final.

The UEFA Super Cup took place in August as Manchester City defeated Sevilla through a penalty shootout after the match ended 1-1.
