Students from 33 designated senior high schools will take a unique West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in 2026, following the updated second-cycle educational framework.
Graphic Online stated that the test would focus on what was referred to as the “21st Century Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Questions.”

The Public Affairs Director of WAEC, John Kapi, stated that this curriculum will be implemented across the country, covering the remaining 987 schools.
These individuals are not of any particular type of students. It’s simply because they are following the new curriculum, which is focused on career development. Therefore, whatever you are studying at the moment is guiding you toward a specific professional path.

The institutions participating in the new WASSC are Bosomtwe Girls STEM SHS and Abomosu STEM SHS.
