The Israeli military has alleged that Hezbollah fighters have violated the newly extended truce between the two nations.
Lebanese government media stated that several new Israeli attacks occurred in the southern region of the country on Saturday night, following earlier strikes during the day that resulted in six fatalities, even though a recently prolonged truce was in place between Israel and Hezbollah.
The recent strikes came in response to directives from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, instructing the military to “strongly target Hezbollah” following allegations that the group violated the ceasefire.
The Lebanese health ministry previously stated that “Israeli enemy attacks on a truck and a motorcycle in the town of Yohmor al-Shaqeef, located in the Nabatieh region, resulted in the deaths of four individuals.”

It also mentioned a “violent explosion” in Khiam, a key town located on the eastern side of Lebanon’s border with Israel, where the agency had previously stated that the Israeli military has been “systematically” demolishing homes and other structures.
An Associated Press reporter observed a massive plume of smoke rising above the town.
