MotoGP has released the official outcomes of the Catalan Grand Prix, over two hours following the conclusion of the race, after completing various technical reviews.

Five riders have received penalties for violating tyre pressure regulations, includingJoan Mir– who had temporarily achieved Honda’s first podium of the year in second place.

Following a typical 16-second penalty, he fell to 13th position – and will depart from Barcelona having earned only three points over the weekend.

Other cyclists who violated the regulations included Yamaha’sAlex Rins (originally 11th), Pramac duo Jack Miller and Toprak Razgatlioglu(originally 14th and 15th) and Trackhouse competitorRaul Fernandez (Trackhouse).

Consequently, Rins dropped to 14th in the final standings, while Miller secured the last point by finishing 15th. Razgatlioglu and Fernandez are now ranked 16th and 17th respectively.

Meanwhile, Fermin Aldegueradvanced to second place in the final standings on what was otherwise a challenging day for Gresini, whileFrancesco Bagnaiawas raised to the last position on the podium.

The Ducati factory rider initially finished in fifth position, but had climbed one spot after Trackhouse’sAi Ogurawas fined for being responsible for a collision withPedro Acosta at the final corner.

The outcome marked the team’s first podium finish of the season.Ducati Team, while the Borgo Panigale brand also secured the top three positions asFabio di Giannantonio claimed victory for VR46.

Bagnaia was also examined following the race for a technical violation but was exonerated by the technical director once it was determined that the drop in pressure resulted from a “leaking wheel.”

Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchiwas another major success, earning 13 points for finishing fourth in what turned out to be his least challenging performance of the season.

The large number of penalties was probably because the race started again twice, causing most riders to use soft rear tyres and change the tyre pressure based on the reduced race length (12 laps).

Final results from the Catalan GP after five riders received penalties and Joan Mir misses out on a MotoGP podium finish
