Pakistan, May 22 — Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal has lodged a harassment complaint, prompting the National Cyber Crime Investigation (NCCIA) to officially start legal action and call for the appearance of Provincial Assembly member Saqib Chadhar and his wife Sameera Khan.

As per media reports, the NCCIA ordered both individuals to attend on Friday, May 22. This follows the actress’s claim that a prominent political figure subjected her to extended online harassment, cyberbullying, psychological distress, and threats of death.

In a detailed Instagram story posted the previous day, Momina Iqbal mentioned that she had repeatedly filed complaints with the NCCIA, the Federal Investigation Agency, and the Punjab Police, but claimed that no appropriate action was taken because of political interference.

The actress stated that rather than obtaining justice, she was discouraged from continuing the issue, while she and her family kept encountering severe threats. She requested the authorities to conduct a clear and unbiased investigation and called for immediate safety measures for her family.

Momina Iqbal included senior officials, government departments, news networks, and media outlets in her social media update, hoping that individuals misusing their power or hindering justice would face legal consequences.

After her claims and the NCCIA’s response, the issue has generated extensive online debate, with numerous users calling on officials to act swiftly. The spotlight is now on the upcoming inquiry and any additional details that may come to light in the case.
